Reservoir Engineer
Job description
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Reservoir Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in engineering principles and a passion for the oil and gas industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Work in a multidisciplinary team to complete integrated project study and identify field development strategies.
- Responsible for field development planning, reservoir management, production forecast and field performance improvement.
- Provide solid reservoir engineering input and support for drilling location identification, well design and risk assessment.
- Generate type production curves and production forecast by utilizing analytical study and reservoir simulation.
- Propose advanced drilling/ completion technologies to ensure the best production performance and maximize ultimate reservoir recovery.
- Provide economic evaluation for drilling locations and recommend appropriate capital expenditures to the management.
- Involved in day-to-day field operations to optimize production at both field and well level.
- Coordinate with engineering firms to complete annual reserves evaluation and report.
- Participate in property acquisition and evaluate upside potential.
Requirements
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
- Must hold a Petroleum engineering degree; APEGA membership is preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in reservoir engineering; WCSB experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in the field development planning and forecasting.
- Demonstrated experience in economic evaluation.
- Strong interpersonal, teamwork and problem-solving skills.
- Thrives in a fast-paced working environment.
Schedule
Monday to Friday, Weekends as needed
